Hi, I'm Ashley
Owner, principal planner & extraordinaire
I officially started in the wedding industry in 2024, shortly after our engagement. After joining all those wedding pages, I saw an ad from a planner asking if anyone wanted to assist her with weddings. I thought, why not? It sounded fun, and it would give me the backstory of what it takes to have a good wedding. I've always been the event planner and have hosted plenty of parties, so this was just another thing to do.
I was overwhelmed at first. I was physically thrown into chaos when I arrived: DFW traffic was causing issues with literally everyone getting to the second location (mental note), and there wasn't a seating chart (mental note). All day I kept adding mental notes on what I would have done. The planner was newer, and it was a last-minute booking, two things I don't do lightly in my own company.
The wedding was gorgeous and the couple was happy. They had no idea we were putting out small fires all night, and to be honest, it was fun. That feeling only got better with every wedding and every bit of experience.
Today, I have a long first meeting with my couples no matter the package, because I need to know everything. I expect and prepare for the worst so you can enjoy your big moments. I focus on the little details, every detail.
After a year or so of weddings, I was comfortable launching on my own. I still assist other planners, because a built-in work buddy is always fun, and I've loved this every step of the way.
Little details, big moments.
